Our sports program is designed with more than improving skills in mind. Each team member is challenged in almost every practice to keep God first at all times in his/her life, even in the heat of competition. Our student athletes have gained the reputation of being tough competitors with a premium on sportsmanship and Christian character.
Perry Hall Christian School is a new member of MACS, a Christian school sports league in northern and central Maryland. PHCS has a full slate of sports opportunities for both boys and girls in middle school and high school for the entire school year. In the fall the middle school boys and high school boys compete in a 10 - 20 game schedule in soccer, while the middle school and high school girls play a full schedule of volleyball games. From November to February, both middle school and high school boys and girls compete in basketball. The spring sports include middle school and high school boys baseball and middle school and high school girls soccer. We have also competed in boys lacrosse and girls softball although we are not currently fielding those teams. At the conclusion of each season, each team selects recipients for several awards which include MVP in offense and defense, most hustle, most improved, and Christian character awards. These awards are presented in a special sports awards chapel or evening ceremony. All parents are invited. For the awards chapel we have a special guest speaker who presents a unique and Scripture-based challenge.
